Land of the Ascending Dragon
Ready for a journey unlike any other? That's Vietnam – a land shaped by thousands of years of fiercely independent spirit, breathtaking natural beauty, and a legendary street-food scene. From ancient temples to stunning landscapes, Vietnam is an adventure that will awaken every one of your senses.
Picture this: you're sailing through the dramatic, emerald-green limestone islands of Ha Long Bay, and honestly, it feels like you've just stepped into a painting. Or perhaps you're more drawn to the lively chaos of the Mekong Delta's floating markets, bursting with vibrant colours and smells. You'll be enchanted by the golden glow of Hoi An's ancient streets as dusk settles, with every corner whispering centuries of tales. And for a truly one-of-a-kind view, imagine hiking through the misty rice terraces of Sapa, meeting local communities high up in the mountains.
Did You Know? While Brazil might be famous for Arabica, Vietnam is the king of the bolder robusta bean, which is often used in espresso blends. And when you're there, you'll see people everywhere enjoying their traditional cà phê sữa đá (iced coffee with condensed milk) or cà phê đen (black coffee).
Ethos Travel Advice: Dive headfirst into Vietnam's incredible street food scene! To keep things safe, look for stalls with a high turnover of customers (that means fresh food!) and where everything is cooked to order and served piping hot. It’s best to avoid raw salads or fruit you can't peel yourself.
