Cambodia

The Kingdom of Angkor

From its serene landscapes to its delightful cuisine, Cambodia is ready to take you on a truly captivating journey. You'll get to explore a history of grandeur, especially with those incredible ancient temples. And while it's true there was a period of immense hardship under the Khmer Rouge, the country has emerged with a deeply spiritual and persevering culture, a testament to its remarkable healing and strength.

Imagine the majestic temples of Angkor Wat and their intricate carvings at sunrise. Picture yourself exploring floating villages on Tonlé Sap Lake or wandering through lush, emerald rice paddies. Or experience the vibrant buzz of Phnom Penh, alive with bustling markets and fragrant street food, offering a taste of authentic Khmer life.

Did You Know? Cambodia is the only country in the world whose national flag features a building! The majestic Angkor Wat temple complex, the country's most iconic landmark, is proudly displayed at its heart.

Ethos Travel Advice: To get the best experience of Angkor Wat, wake before dawn for a sunrise viewing. Explore the lesser-visited temples like Ta Prohm (the "Tomb Raider" temple) and Banteay Srei later in the day, when the crowds are thin.
