General Planning & Booking
How do I book with you? What kind of customer service can I expect from Ethos Escapes?
We've made your customer journey with us as simple as possible:

What's the best time to book my holiday to get the best deals?
For popular periods like school holidays or a big event, booking far in advance (6 to 12 months) is usually best. That's when you'll have the most options and often find better prices.
If you're more of a spontaneous traveller, sometimes you can grab some awesome last-minute deals. These tend to pop up within 8 to 12 weeks of travel, but flexibility is key.
Do you offer group bookings or tailor-made itineraries for special occasions?
Yes, absolutely! We specialise in crafting bespoke experiences, whether it's a multi-generational family trip, a friends' reunion, a honeymoon, or an anniversary celebration. Arrange a call with us and tell us all about your vision. Let's make it happen!
Do you offer flights or just ground arrangements?
We typically focus on putting together the entire holiday experience, rather than just booking individual flights. That's because we believe the magic is in the details of the whole journey.
Can you cater to specific dietary requirements or accessibility needs?
It's crucial for us to know about any dietary needs (e.g., vegetarian, gluten-free, allergies) or accessibility requirements (e.g., wheelchair access, specific room configurations) at the time of booking. We work closely with our suppliers to ensure these are communicated and accommodated wherever possible. The more detail you can provide, the better we can tailor your trip.
Do you offer ABTA and ATOL protection?
Rest assured - when you book with us, you're fully protected as we are ABTA and ATOL bonded. This means your money is safe.
- ATOL (stands for Air Travel Organisers' Licensing) ensures that you won't be left stranded abroad and will either be brought home or get a refund for your holiday if you haven't travelled yet.
- ABTA (stands for the Association of British Travel Agents) provides similar financial protection for non-flight packages and ensures we adhere to high industry standards, giving you complete peace of mind that your holiday is in expert hands.
Please note that neither ATOL nor ABTA is a substitute for comprehensive travel insurance, which covers things like medical emergencies, lost luggage, or unexpected trip cancellations due to personal circumstances. We highly recommend you explore the right travel insurance!
What if I need to change or cancel my holiday?
We understand plans can change. If you need to adjust or cancel your trip, please contact us as soon as possible. All bookings are subject to the terms and conditions of the airline, hotel, and tour operators, and policies vary, so fees may apply. We'll always make these clear at the time of booking and help you navigate any potential costs. This is also why we highly recommend travel insurance, as it can be invaluable if unexpected issues arise.
How do I pay for my holiday?
Typically, we'll ask for a deposit when you book, and then the full balance will be due a set number of weeks before you jet off – usually somewhere around 8 to 12 weeks out. We accept various payment methods, and we'll confirm all the specifics with you during the booking process. Don't worry, we'll give you a clear payment schedule right up front so you'll know exactly when everything is due.
Do you charge a service fee?
We operate solely on commission from travel suppliers (airlines, hotels, tours, etc.) when you book through us. This means you get all our expertise, planning, and support at no extra cost to you. Thanks to our relationships with suppliers, the price you pay for your trip through us is often the same as, or even better than, booking directly.
