Itinerary Breakdown
Days 1-2: Nairobi – Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer to a luxury hotel in Nairobi. Delve into the city's unique blend of urban and wild with visits to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, Giraffe Centre, and a game drive through Nairobi National Park – the only capital city park in the world with free-roaming lions.
Days 3-4: Amboseli & Kilimanjaro – Fly to Amboseli National Park, famed for its large elephant herds and iconic views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, witnessing these majestic giants against Africa's highest peak.
Days 5-6: Lake Nakuru – Journey through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park. Enjoy game drives around the shimmering soda lake, renowned for its large population of rhinos (both black and white) and an incredible array of birdlife, including its famous flamingos (seasonal). Keep an eye out for Rothschild's giraffes and elusive leopards.
Days 7-8: Lake Naivasha & Rift Valley – Continue through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha. Enjoy a boat safari on the lake, observing hippos and abundant birdlife. Experience a captivating walking safari on Crescent Island, surrounded by zebras, giraffes, and wildebeest.
Days 9-12: Masai Mara's Legendary Plains – Fly to the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve. Spend three full days on exhilarating game drives, tracking the "Big Five" and witnessing the dramatic Mara River crossings during the Great Migration (seasonal). Experience the thrill of walking safaris and consider an optional hot-air balloon safari at dawn.
Days 13-14: Maasai Cultural Immersion – Deepen your understanding of Kenya's heritage with an authentic cultural immersion. Spend time with a local Maasai community, learning about their traditions, warrior culture, and daily life within their "bomas" (homesteads). Witness traditional dances and share stories.
Days 15-19: Diani Beach – Fly to Kenya's South Coast and transfer to a luxurious beachfront resort on Diani Beach, renowned for its pristine white sands.
